At VintagePercussionSoundEffects.com, I hope to create a free and open forum for the sharing of information about this wonderful topic. If you have old pre-1930 catalogs that feature sound effect pages that aren't already featured here, I invite you to email me about posting them to the site! Financial compensation for your contribution may be offered for especially rare catalog artwork. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. All catalog pages are copyright and not for use without permission.
Interesting Fact: With the exceptions of Duplex and Ward, the large majority of the illustrations found in early catalogs were of instruments made by Walberg & Auge Co. - the "King" of accessories manufacturing during this era. These illustrations were copied with permission from their catalog and used by various dealers, and sometimes drum companies as well. Leedy and Ludwig & Ludwig always offered a mixture of traps made by them and ones made by W&A.
